Scrapbook of a Future Nobleman

Instagram

Not every photo I take is on a fancy camera. No matter how much I want to,  I can’t carry my Nikon SLR around with me all the time to take photos of anything that catches my eye. Usually, however, I do have my ipod on me. Sometime in late winter I discovered a really awesome app called Instagram, which lets you take photos on your ipod, run them through one of many filters, and then post it to the web – linking with Twitter, Flickr, and a host of other services as well as Instagram’s own feed. You can follow your friends or anyone whose photos you like. It’s pretty nifty, and people can get really creative with it.

Here are some of my favorite Instagram shots… so far.

Loves me some Getty Center.

Two of LA's more famous landmarks: the Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory. The Elliott Smith mural got cleaned up real nice. Stairway at the top of the world. Hard to believe this was once one of the most famous tourist spots in the world. Yoshi made of stickies! Sunset on the peak of Mt. Hood. Summertime and the living is easy. Everything from the lamp post to Cair Paravel... 90% of the year, Eugene sucks. But that 10% is absolutely perfect. Vero has a porch now! Porches are awesome! Goslings! God, Salt Lake City must be the most depressing place... Mid-haircut fun. I don't see Project Fraux-Hawk happening. Supermoon! Check out this tree covered in ferns. Ted is riding out this windstorm in style. The house on Archer Avenue. Actually it's on Convent. Feels so right.
