Jazz Age Festival @ Governor’s Island

The day I was out on Governor’s Island to take photographs of Paul and Contessa happened to be the same day of the Jazz Age Festival – at least that’s what I think it was called. My friends and I spent pretty much the whole day on the Island picnicing, playing ultimate frisbee, biking, using the free kayaking, and so on. We were surprised from the very moment we got on the ferry to see so many people dressed up like it was 1926. Then a band started to play, complete with Tin Pan Alley-style shouting cone, and people started to dance. It was pretty great, and what an awesome setting for a trip back in time.

Here are a few photos from that.
